Hello and welcome! I'm glad you found me. I know from experience how daunting the therapeutic journey can be, and I'm here to walk your path with you. My main passions are trauma and addiction, but I have experience working with depression, anxiety, mood issues, personality disorders, and psychosis. I work from a trauma perspective, while also helping clients look at how their early relationships and experiences contribute to their wellbeing today (attachment and a little psychodynamic).

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am also passionate about social justice, equality, intersectionality, and the destigmatization of mental health. I have a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School. After 14 years in law, I obtained a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Adult Mental Health and Wellness from the University of Southern California.

I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ("EMDR") Therapy, and the Flash Technique, and I truly believe that reprocessing trauma in this way can be life changing and freeing.

I am located in the Pasadena, CA area, but I am currently only offering telehealth sessions at this time. Yes, EMDR therapy is still successful via telehealth, and I have been trained in several methods for adapting to online use of EMDR. I have seen great success with EMDR in the virtual world, and I am happy to discuss any concerns or questions you may have.

I have also found telehealth to be very successful for many of my clients. While it may seem impersonal, many clients are much more comfortable talking from their own homes or offices, and it has allowed for increased rapport, trust, and honesty. I also encourage my clients to bring anything into our virtual sessions that make them feel safe, such as a comfy blanket, robe, sweater, pet(s), grounding items, etc. And if you're lucky, you may get to meet my cats on screen!
